A tortoiseshell ladybeetle (Aiolocaria hexaspilota, family Coccinellidae) took wings from my fingertip after some hesitation and exploration. This slow-motion was taken by the 220 fps high-speed filming. 3, 2, 1, liftoff!! Early-November 2011 in Japan.
