Parks are an essential component of any city's infrastructure. They play a vital role in improving the social, economic and physical well being of urban areas and its residents. Parks, greenways and trails are important in making a community walkable; they provide relief from urban stresses and bring people together, plus they are free to use and safe. Get started / start with 5 , 10, or 15minutes / there are countless benefits / We are ambassador in the Balance Walking program - grab your poles and go - the perceived exertion is that of regular walking, yet the pulse can average to 7 - 15 beats higher - Wow, you have to love that ;) 1 mile with the poles can deliver near to what 2miles of regular walking.

What ever you decide - Walk and enjoy

We are very fortunate that here in Auckland we have many fantastic parks and reserves - by the harbour, creeks and with wonderful views. We utilise the green spaces within our walk guides at Short Walks in Auckland.
