This is the Australian re recording of the Ritz single (1980) when the band were performing under the name NZ Pop because of legal problems with their own name in the Australian territories. No signs of the pressures the name change showing in this performance though. A nice bit of bouncy new wave energy.
This version of the song will be available on the forthcoming Pop Mechanix - Lost Tapes - Parallel Universe collection featuring the Zoo album with the original Andrew Snoid vocals on it.
This clip features
Andrew Snoid - Vocals
Paul Scott - Bass Vocals

Glam Rock got a hair cut and they called it New Wave. Glam Rock was rock 'n' roll with lipstick on according to Lennon. Well I quite enjoyed the New Wave hair cut - it was a refreshing change (back) from disco and the solid gold dancers. Catchy song.
