Kinda works, made from stuff I had. I bought the winch is from harbor freight. Use this for your ideas but i would NOT build it exactly like this. It needs cross bracing on the legs not to mention other things but this does work for me, I'm not done working out the bugs. I have used it several times, so far so good.

  • i added some rear supports so it doesn't squat anymore before it starts to come up ( look at the rear at 1:59 to see it squat in the rear). i also added larger diameter bolts washers and tightened everything up as well as mounted the winch with all the hardware. it works better now. I have been using it several times a day and i really like it.

  • That is absolutely inspirational! I've been thinking of just lifting the front or back of my machines when they need service, but this is much better! Like gymshorts55248 said, putting a snatch block on the table and bringing the hook back to the winch area would ease the strain on the winch. Half speed of course but easier.

If you had it cutout in the middle you could get at the bottom a little easier. Congrats!!

  • I like the winch idea if you put a pulley at table and run winch cable thru and back to winch location this will give you more lift power and at alittle slower speed

Great job on the lift table

  • good job, been thinking about one of these myself. i was going to take the easy way out and buy one but after watching your vid i'm gonna have to build one.

  • Dude, that's kick-ass! I too have a mancave-garage, and now I want to tinker building something like what you have.

    Cool vid. Thanks!

  • Works good i think for mowers.
