@TheMrGobble No only the sacrificial laws where abolished. The laws about taking a clean animal and having a priest at the temple place your sins on it then killing to show the wages of sin. Those laws where written by Moses and where followed all the way up till the Cross. They where a representation of Jesus' sacrifice. That's why when He died the curtain in the temple was split because the use of sacrifices was no longer needed. It didn't mean that pigs where suddenly clean meat.

So God lied in a vision about food to make a point about gentiles? This is the conclusion, in order to hold a view against Mark 7:19 (which was Peter's addition to the Lord's word after he understood the Lord's teaching later). I don't defend pork or any other unclean meat as healthy, but my love of God's word demands that we take scripture at face value. Not what goes in, but what comes out is what Jesus concluded with.

@TheMrGobble Can you show me now where it says we can eat unclean foods in the NT? Adventists have their problems like all denominations, but the health message is an important thing that other churches should embrace as well.

@cornerstone111 Did you not read my post? the old laws were abolished when Jesus shed his blood for our sins. I've just realised this man is an Adventist... They still observe OT laws and discount Christs sacrifice.

@gsixty Whether a person gets loud and angry, or happy and funny, they both swear and do things that a normal sober minded person does not do. It lowers your perceived IQ, it lowers your standards, and it lowers your ability to make good and righteous decisions. You are only fooling yourself if you think you can keep drinking and also claim to be a Christ following Christian.
