I'd say that's silly, because there is not yet an approved cure for cancer, and these people are misinformed. Did you mean they drink it to prevent cancer?

H2O2 oxygenates the body and cancer along with almost all pathogens can not survive in a well oxygenated environment.

Elevated oxygen levels are bad for you, go read about reactive oxygen species.

Oxygen used in the body (particularly mitochondria) can be transformed into a free radical (singlet oxygen, superoxde anion) and causes cell damage. In a high oxygen environment this can lead to cell death. hydrogen peroxide can do this aswell, thats why we have enzymes such as catalase and superoxide dismutase.

@ChildOL the point is that cancer is not a pathogen , it's a bad-behaving cell that reproduces without limits and make the organism to collapse out (when it drains too many resources out).

Well oxigenating can be even worse! Becouse more oxigen -> more energy production -> cancer grow faster ...

@yrunido I drink peroxide all the time. It gives you quite an energy boost.

I would recommend only doing this on an empty stomach as foods can decompose the peroxide leading to unpleasant reactions and gas.

Anyways, the amount needed isn't a lot. A capful of 3% peroxide mixed with a liter of water, perhaps, each day. You will feel a sense of well-being almost immediately.

@yrunido It is in fact true for some cases, bacteria for instance tends to be often anaerobic, and Hydrogen Peroxide when applied properly can decimate these infections. Of course this does not apply to any aerobic bacteria or virii.

And it has had various studies showing it can in fact shrink a tumour as well., however it does not prevent or kill cancer.

Most hydrogen peroxide you buy is at 3% and is generally safe to use, it can disinfect cuts, but its mostly helpful to wash the cut out by production of oxygen gas and water via enzymes.

Also to the guy that says you can boost your immune system: you can't, you can only keep it strong by having a healthy diet and proper sleep.

I know this stuff because I'm doing my honors specialization in microbiology and immunology.
