@seamusberkeley She was so cool when I told her how much I loved his paintings of her as little girl and a beautiful young women. It was like I could see her expressions as I went on and on. I quasi all her life she's been hearing this. Unfortuntely I'm to poor to ever make it to New Mexico. But I do have my two copies and some other lose photos I've found in old art mag. Why is it that no one has done a modern new larger size book about his work?

I agree, added music to the newer videos!

Some music would be nice.

It was a truly strange but great moment. I first discovered two books of her fathers work at a second hand book store in Chicago. I had never heard of him. I was so mad after I discovered him that I tried to fined everything I could about him.Since that time I've seen so many present day artist ,who are directly taking from him. Talking to Eya was a mystical experience, since it was only after I waxed on and on about how great Fechin was and how much I'd have love to have been taught by him.

@Screamingdk There is at least one book of his work available. Look on Amazon or any of the online book services.

I have two books with Eya as a child in them. I call the museum and was talking to this older lady when I realize it was her. That was a unique experience.

@Screamingdk Yes, or many years Eya was at the museum in Taos, which was the home built by Nicolai. It was also where I first met her and in fact, where she sat for me for her portrait!
