this great film references so many adventure stories, from around the world in 80 days to the prisoner of zenda.

Feelthejoy says that to "swing" on someone is to hit them, whereas Longtallcadillac says it means to be unfaithful or cheat on them. I will take the latter as true but, anyway, the late Dorothy Provine was a knockout of a beauty who delivered this quirky song wonderfully well.

I hope that there's no second floor to this dance hall. This SONG GETS STUCK IN MY HEAD for days at a time. Love Dorothy Provine and I love that little 'cat fight' she gets into with Natalie Wood. LOL.

@xAmazonxValkyriex i know, right!?!

Great upload - what a babe she was. In Britain, we only saw her as a DRAG, in "It's A Mad (x4) World" - with only a momentary glimpse of the vivacity she had.

@Brian54M She passed a few months back.

Whatt ever happened to Dorothy Provine?
-
@prepyburnette1 Yeah, but then she beat the shit out of him too. An awesome message for women when this came out!

Damn Natalie Wood was hot!

Pardon me, mr. pardner, but who is Texas Jack?
I love Blake Edwards' movies!

@biglongcadillac but if you look at the lyrics, you see she is talking about being beat.
