Kayak fishing Beaver Dam in Ashburm, VA - July 18, 2010

I've been working 12 hours a day for last 10 days. Today I had a long lunch break. Fished for 2.5 hours in a local Reservoir for White Perch. I took the small kayak and perch lures to Beaver Dam Reservoir, in Ashburn, VA. It was a nice trip.

Some how I videoed my double jigging technique. I call it "two of me fishing". Jigging two different lures with two separate rods at the same tine while drifting is very productive. One lure is usually a search lure that I cast as far as I can to cover more water and to cover a different edges away from the kayak.

J- Good to see you got out! Looks like you're picking up the bait caster pretty well! Did you go with the half spool?

No. I gave up casting. I only drop , toss, or pitch with baitcasting reel. It just gives me too much headache when I cast.

I used to fish Beverdam all the time 20 some years ago when I still lived in Virginia.I also fished Goose Creek. Two of my favorite places. T.A. Daniels the game Warden used to chase you all over the place to make sure you were legal. I am glad to see you are still pulling some nice fish out of the Reservior.

great video and some nice fish where you useing bucktail jigs tiped whit curlytails just curious that is what i useually use and i didnt get a great look at what kind you where useing.
