My New Ride - Dodge Charger R/T Daytona

Here's the new ride! I've always wanted one and I finally got one! Been dreaming about HEMIs and 68-70 Chargers since I was young. Glad I get the next generation and the Daytona package to boot! I originally wanted a Challenger for the B-body style but I fell in love with this gem and couldn't pass it up.

Sorry to keep bothering you but i have one more question. Like i said i have the exact same car, mine is 0718 out of 2000 but i dont have the navigation in mine. Did they just start doing this towards the end of production? In any case i still love the thing.

@141nw21strd I'm not sure it was towards the end of production because my model has the nav system but there seems to be a built in phone system/onstar/AAA system as well. Mine doesn't have it though so my nav screens have the phone icon grayed out. I'm guessing it's just options from the factory. Btw, ever get your burning smell figured out?

@metsu962 I still have no idea where it would be coming from but i havent smelled it since way back in the summer. When i get back from a good day of driving i pull it in and lift the hood sometimes and dont smell a thing. I"ll keep an eye on it but there is enough warning lights and censors on that car that i'm sure it would let me know when the smallest thing goes wrong.

@141nw21strd Yep, that's true. My car was giving me a check engine light when I was smelling fuel fumes through the cab. Couple days after it beeped at me and told me to check the gas cap. Since I was only smelling it through the AC and strongly when I came to stops, I figured it had to do with the emissions system vapors or whatever. Under the hood I could smell where it was coming from. Body shop forgot to hook up the hose running to the purge sylenoid for fumes xD

It smells more like something is hot but like i said i doesnt last long, and is only when i have the windows down

@141nw21strd Not sure what to think on that one. If it's only when the windows are down then it shouldn't be from all the wires and crap behind the dash. Maybe it's just something dripping on a hot piece under the hood. I guess I would suggest stopping the car quick and trying to get your head under the hood smelling for it. That's how I found the source of the fuel fumes in my car. : / If it's faint and very short lived, hopefully nothing is wrong.

@141nw21strd Sounds like u had some debris maybe on the cats...ususally smells like plastic burning..Its probably gone now
