hey doc that is amazing!!! the cool thing about it is that it took probably 1-3 months to get it to walk like that but ASIMO the bit white robot by honda, it took them twenty years two master the art of walking/running!

Damn, that's wobbly. Still, great job.

If you make the ankles twist while its walking it could take bigger steps.

Finaly a biped that does the weight shifting not by moving the bricks from one site to the other. I got 2 nxt's and really like the whole design idea. I think something like this is going to be my next build. Did you use accelerameter or other sensors? or is it reading the motor positions?

The only sensor's are the sonar(to see walls and trigger the turn) (two touch sensor's, one on each leg to relay leg movment to the other brick) getting it to turn on one foot was the harder part to design.

I dont think you would need this many motors. GREAT JOB THOUGH

to be able to turn on one foot and walk six is min.. the hip and knee run off one motor each or it would talk 8 motors. the anklees have two motors one leans and one turns. the idea was to get a more real walking gate as compared to the alpharex from the kit that shuffles its feet.
