At a Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee hearing today, Ranking Member Olympia J. Snowe asked the Chief Counsel for Advocacy at the Small Business Administration whether federal agencies were following current law requiring a periodic review of the regulations on their books. Dr. Sargeant indicated he did not have a record of which agencies are in compliance with the law by completing a review of the impact of regulations on small businesses and agreed small businesses would benefit from greater enforcement mechanisms.
