can you ride a longboard like it was a regular skateboard? i'm really in doubt, because i like the shape of the longboard, but i don't think i can cruise like that /-:

and the different front truck.. what's it good for? I mean couldn't you get the same effect with a smooth normal truck?

@MisterTurnister Hey mate - SmoothStar Skateboards are designed for surfers, so to answer your question, our various models: 30", 32", 36" and 39" reflect a surfboard quiver.

The other thing is the SmoothStar truck emulates surfing movement and flow, specifically carving.

Having said that, there are many people that just buy the SmoothStar truck, they then put this onto their existing Longboard.

sweet the one im getting is 40 inches and is a do it urself so once it comes going to put a sick design on it and go cruising

I tried this board, really cool. You can easily propel yourself forward. Really cool for just cruising on the streets without much effort. You can do long drawn out arch turns, just like a longboard.
