You`re right using splines is fast, in fact I´m preparing this tutorial using spline and the people will choice which one is better for them.

A very helpful tutorial thanks! Though if you could just allow a second or so longer before making selections so I can see what you're clicking that would be a massive help, for me at least as I have to keep skipping back and pausing!

I'm having to learn Max for work and I'm finding it DIFFICULT! It just seems to make the rules up as it goes along! Sometimes something will work, other times not.......frustrating. I wish C4D was more ubiquitous......

I think that more efective would be the spineline modeling for the chess but not bad...
