Info:
Another one by LoG, and I would have to say this is my favorite song by them. Its also probably the most technical song I've uploaded so far. I thought I played it quite well despite the occasional hiccup and some off timings in the solo, although youtube threw off the synchronization a bit in the upload.

Techniques/Tips:
- The intro/chorus/outro riff is played by alternate picking across different strings. The second half of the riff also involves string skipping. It is quite difficult so practice it with a metronome.
- The solo is really hard to play 100% correct because it has a lot of of pinchies, triplets and the quick scale run at the end.

Gear:
Guitar: Ibanez RGT42DXFM
- Neck pickup: Dimarzio EVO DP158
- Bridge pickup: Seymour Duncan Dimebag Darrell
Strings: Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky
Tuning: Drop D (DADGBE)
Effects: POD X3
- All patch's: Treadplate Dual Tone (intro/chorus/outro riff and solo with added reverb)
Video: Pentax Optio 60
Audio Editing: Audacity
Video Editing: Sony Vegas Pro 8

Tabs:
I don't think any of the guitar pro versions on ultimateguitar.com are 100% correct. I used a collection of version 5, 6 and 7 to try and piece together the solo. There is also a live LoG demonstration video on youtube, although I think Morton plays the solo slightly different.

  • hay can you give me an advice?. I am trying to play intro but i have problems with keeping it sound clean. when you play that intro is your palm of the right hand muting E string, because when i play it without laying my hand on the E string there are unwanted noises from that string. But when i am muting it its very hard for me to play second part of that riff because its involve playing on A string. Can you give me a tip at right hand position? Sry for my english. Great Cover

  • @raziellmm Hey bro,

The whole intro involves string skipping, with no palm mutting, and is extremely difficult to play and keep in time. You have to practice skipping over the string cleanly, its not easy. It took me a lot of practice to get it clean.

  • Could You Tell Me Your Settings? This Patch Is Amazing !

  • @kdsoa2 Hey man I would tell you if I could remember, but I'm travelling and dont have patch on me. Anyhow go onto custom tone on the line 6 website and download the best LOG patch there. Then for the intro riff, add a bit of delay. That should be quite close.
