Dearborn police officer "aggravated" that suspect didn't disclose HIV status

FROM AMERICAN INDEPENDENT REPORTER TODD HEYWOOD: A Dearborn, Mich., police officer was caught on tape telling a man and a woman that he was issuing them traffic and marijuana possession tickets because he was "aggravated" that the woman failed to disclose her HIV-positive status before he searched the couple's car. The incident has raised allegations of discrimination and violations of civil rights.

I couldn't watch the entire video because I was disgusted..not by by the fact that she is HIV+ but instead by this ignorant, insensitive, and uneducated officer. I know for a FACT he received training as far as communicable diseases and was trained on how to act accordingly in situations like this. She DID NOT have to disclose her status to him, he was in no immediate danger. I wish her & her family the best and I'm sorry that she even had to go through this. Hopefully they seek legal counsel!

 after watching the video and listening to him talk about his family and all the dirty and dangerous things he's exposed to, it's pretty clear that this officer is full of fear, does not have the emotional fortitude for the job and should find another line of work.

Furthermore, he wasn't even that rude about it. He explained the rationale for needing to know (a perfectly valid one at that). He didn't raise his voice, insult her or physically restrain her. He was extremely cool about it. As to the people who are acting as if this is the worst possible thing that could happen to a person, I want your life where someone being rude to you is biggest problem you have. When did we all become a nation of pussies?

What is all the outcry about? 1) The driver had outstanding warrants. 2) They were carrying weed with an expired Medical Marijuana card (thus making the possession against the law). The officer let them go, and had absolutely NO duty to do so. He could have arrested them both, had the car towed and impounded, and charged them both with Possession of MJ (a 1-year misdemeanor).  Instead he let them drive off. Why isn't anyone mentioning that?

Oh you're right, I must be a neanderthal because I'm siding with the law and defending the officer for doing his job rather than trying to play the race card and say "Oh he's just doing that because she's black, not because she's breaking the law!" Grow up and educate yourself. If you don't want a ticket, don't break the law, this is not discrimination and he never violated her civil rights, it is just a cop doing his job. Dumbass.
