LeapPad vs InnoTab Speed Comparison

Two of the tablets being released this fall for children include the VTech InnoTab and the LeapFrog LeapPad. Which is best? Children's Technology Review Editor Warren Buckleitner does a side-by-side comparison of the speed and responsivity. Note: This video is not intended to be a full review. This is a test that was part of the full review of both tablets that appeared in October 2011 issue of Children's Technology Review. In that review, the InnoTab was scored at 4.3, the LeapPad at 4.1. So both will do the job; but both have significant disadvantages compared to Apple's iOS-based options and/or the Nabi. BTW, CTR is available for subscription at $30/year.

be careful about this review. it only talks about one "weakness" on leappad explorer vs innotab when there are truly maerny strengths and advantages leappad has over innotab, ie built-in camera, larger app library selection(over 100 apps for leappad vs innotabs 40). leappad also has a much larger 2 gb built-in memory hard-drive vs innotab 64 mb.

We bought the LeapPad for our little one, and to be honest he doesn't really care about the Art Studio feature very much. Both pale in comparison to the real thing! He LOVES the built-in camera on the LeapPad though.
