(LYRICS WITH TRANSLATION) This immortal song which always touched my heart and soul, was originally sung by Geeta Dutt with her sensuous voice. Lata ji with her ethereal voice enhanced its charm.. I do not say that Lata ji has sung better than Geeta Ji, but in no way it is less than the original......I have chosen to compile this video on Lata Ji's song as a very good video is already available for Geeta Ji's song.
This haunting melody is composed by S D Burman and subtle poetry penned by Kaifi Azmi for Guru Dutt ji's movie Kaagaz ke Phool.

wah wah kya baat hai. ur xclent rendition superimposed on srk & rani is praise worthy. geeta dutt highly talented gr8 legend was a singer of high calibre. her abyss voice modulations with pathos recreated incendiary feelings depicting her amazon personality. she is no more with us & its gr8ness of lata g 2 sing geeta g`s song as a mark of respect & homage 2 the gr8 legend. may her soul rest in eternal peace. thanx.
