UAZ look like excellent vehicles, very robust! Can somebody tell me, what is "Bars", is this a UAZ tuning company or? My fav UAZ would be the 3159, and I often see the word BARS written along side the name.

Hummer as a military vehicle, Humvee, has already exceptional service, fame and experience. Vodnik is interesting new project, but Bars hasn't anything new to offer (if not comparing with old UAZ). Any car can fit discrete bullet-proof armor.

Instead of that they just tell us the list of major improvements in comparision with old small UAZik and again not comparing it with hummer. Well, hydravlic assistance, spring suspension, longer wheel base... might sound revolutionary in comparing with old UAZ, but for the rest of car-building indurstry it's already a previous century (metaphorically and literally).

This episode of "Voennoe delo" is named "Vezdekhod" and contains two parts. And while first one is about GAZ "Vodnik" and is just brilliant. The second one is about this piece of crap. Narrator says in the beggining that Bars is not so famous as Hummer but is better of it in many parameters... Hell why not they direct compare them?
