  • That is not a bite. It is snagging... at least in my mind.

    4. I have had ONE person tell me that he was using a green jig very similar in color to those ugly scavenger fish that you see on the Kenai. He said that fish were actually going out of their way to hit the jig. Only time in 30 years in Alaska he ever saw it and has not seen it again even though he duplicated the fly.

  • 1. your offensive language is NOT appreciated. I have young kids who watch my videos.

    2. LIKE I SAID, if you can show me how to get a RED Salmon to bite, I will be happy to learn. Otherwise tell me why a Red Salmon which feeds on plankton and krill would bite a lure. They MIGHT occasionally hit eggs, and yes we have caught them on lures, but you can not convince me that the lure did not just float into their mouths.

    3. Flossing is not biting. It is letting the fish get the line in its mouth.

  • 20 snaggers lined up in a row. fun fishing!

  • 20?? More like 2000 and if you can tell me how to get Red Salmon to bite, I will be happy to pass it on, but reds or Coho do not bite baits as they are filter feeders only feeding on plankton and small krill. NO RED or Coho ever caught was not snagged. So if you are being sarcastic you are incorrect in your criticism, of these fishermen.

  • I got news for you, your not even NEAR the Russian mouth. Your on the Kenai near the Ferry. It's probably half a mile to the mouth the Russian.

  • OK According to Google Earth I was .28 miles from the mouth of the river and .1 miles from the island which could also be considered the mouth of the Russian River... so you are wrong as well, you estimated the distance at twice what it was.

  • @BCfisherman Reds dont bite, Silvers do. Reds eat Krill and similer stuff in the ocean. All salmon stop feeding when they hit the Fresh water, they tend to bite out of irratation and defence of there spawning grounds. Reds are very passive in comparison to the other salmon they are not aggresive and attack other fish such as Silvers, Kings, Pinks and Chum do.

  • @jimd072 I have been fishing since I was 6 years old, never have i seen a Red actually go out of his way to bite, Every fish I have ever caught or even seen caught was drifted through the mouth. Reds are not like the other salmons species they are not aggresive.

  • your on the kenia river down stream from the russian river, moron.
