@Gerrcinn Yeah I was thinking about the best way to do Daemons. IMO putting 1mm magnets in their feet and magnetising them to the base is the best option. You could use this system for fantasy though, and just have a tin regiment plate with a flocked surfact that you can pull the ranks off as they die. No need for square bases at all.
I checked these guys out after seeing a case at a local con. Great concept. I only wish the case had a wider footprint for better stability. I'd be worried driving it around as it stands now. Brakes! CRASH!
@korona3103 I've not visited tablewars website, I know in the UK there is a company called Sarissa Precision, and they use laser cut MDF to do it, so for demons if your oppponent is a stickler for 1 to 1 representation you'd need to have them side by side it is doable though, I'd thought about it in the past but then got distracted by other projects. The other plan would be to use the size of the tray, so if its 125mm wide it would count as 5 bases wide even if you only had 4 per row.
since units are 10 figs why have 12 when you could just have 10 in a irregular pattern ? in fact they should all be in a irregular pattern anyway way since its not meant for ranked units .anyway its a good idea and one il be stealing to make my own .an irregular pattern would also help mix up the look just by turning the try and have them look a bit different to the guys either side .you could have 4 the same yet all 4 would look a little different .
Just buy the GW war of the rings ones if your going to do this. And get a sheet of tin for cents @ a local hardware. This product is dumb.

I have a tableware case and it's by far the best case I have purchased. It's a complete system and the whole set is heavily customizable.

@Gerrcinn would you need the top part of the bases already rank up?

nice to see more vids coming in short order Les :)
Like the idea for the tray, could almost use it to convert round base demons into square bases for Warhammer Fantasy, 2 armies for the cost of a tray
