it wasn't a hoax. the hoaxers themselves claimed they did this with flares attached to balloons. INDEPENTLY FLOATING BALLOONS. NOT TIED TOGETHER(as shown in their video). they are obviously lying. free floating balloons don't hover in perfect triangles. these lights are being controlled.
what's more, the same triangle UFOs are appearing everywhere:

just so you know i saw those too and i thought they were aliens, buuuut my friend (who also lives here in motown) says it was these guys who just put flares on balloons, soooo yea. bye!
