Simulating a Dogfight between two jet fighters in 2011 is like testing the effectiveness of a firearm at 1 meter. Sure, you can kill something, but that doesn't prove your weapon is worth a shit in combat. Even if there was a total war between the East & West, I would doubt 1/50 fighter confrontations would be within visual range, or depend on speed/manuverability. It's all in the stealth/targeting systems, you can't outfly a missle, but you can outsmart them.
