Inverted Moulds available from http://www.easynail.co.uk

All nail art items (coloured powders, glitters etc) available from, http://www.thenailartist.co.uk

In this video we are showing you how to create a Black, White and Silver Zebra Design using Inverted Moulds. It's a fun design and it's actually quite easy to do. Variety is the key, so it's not important to be exact with each nail.

As you will see we use 2 types of sculpting brushes. The smaller brush is specifically for intricate nail art and makes it so much easier to work with. The larger brush we use when 'backing' the glitter design with the background colour, in this case French white acrylic.

Hope you like it.

Cheers

  • is there any need to prime the nails before puting them on this way???

  • @cappsyd Hi, if you are using a range of acrylics that require a primer then you should still use it :-)

  • If you use acrylics, would they come off after swimming? I am a competitive swimmer and I can never get my nails nice. So if I got them to just come over the end of my nails, would I still be able to go training?

  • @BextahANDTamzara Hi, no the water won't affect them as these particular nails are full acrylics, it's usually the glued on nails that have a problem because the nail glue is made from Cyanoacrylate adhesive that slowly degrades when in contact with water. As you are a competitive swimmer it's difficult to say if you will be allowed to wear extensions while competing so I would check that out first :-)

  • this is like so cool, easier way to do it, how long does it last?

  • @rita62810 Hi, well because they are solid acrylic sculptured nails they last very well, plus the added benefit o the Inverted Mould being bonded to the surface (you don't remove the mould it acts like a shell giving better protection against chipping and breaking) you can expect to get 2-3 weeks easily. Some clients go longer 4-5, but of course this depends on the growth rate of the clients natural nail, everyone is different. :-)

  • it looks like magic :o

  • @InvertedNailSystems Oh it wouldn't be at competeting as the rules state you aren't allowed them. I just meant for when I'm training cause I don't want to go through the trouble of applying them only to take them off after two days. And I think I'd be ok as a fellow swimmer went training with cheap glue ons. Thanks for replying :D

  • @katherineashleyRN Correct no drilling :-) Another reason using Inverted Moulds does not cause damage to the natural nail. No Glued on plastic tips, No Drilling and no buffing needed. Remove them correctly by gently soaking off in acetone to dissolve them and the natural nail underneath will be in excellent condition. :-)

  • No drilling?? I want I want I want!!
