As Minneapolis touts its 10 year plan to end homelessness, homeless persons continue to be criminalized due to their struggle to survive on the streets. Survivnig on the streets means being in the public eye of police, businesses and residents who would prefer that they disappear. This segment of the 26 minutes documentary Illegal to be Homeless brings the voices of those who struggle under these conditions. For more info contact the film-maker at margaretrh@comcast.net(more)
Welcome to the outcome of the Corrupt government we live in now. I was one of the Lucky ones that made it out of the bridges and camps the shelters on MN. I marched in the winter march of 2003 its been a long time.... its sad to see that MLPS has become much like it was during my homeless time in Florida. The homeless arnt a Virus they are people like you and me. some a little lost, but still people.

Skyrocketing fuel and food prices; jobs being exported to China, India and Mexico; foreclosures; bankruptcy; and
Congress just passed a $370,000,000,000.00, pork filled, Farm Bill that was 1800 pages long. Nobody read it, 34 pages were mysteriously missing, and now I'm reading that it's illegal to be homeless in Minneapolis.
When will Washington be fired?

Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH for your work Margret. I'm honored to communicate with you in this way. I am the HomelessArtist of Minneapolis. One of many, I'd guess. But I am the one with a fine art high art story line. You wouldn't believe this, unless you are already familiar. Just in your research, you may have taken note of my existence.
In my research, I have taken note of YOUR EXISTENCE.
Thanks for being there.
