Beverlee was awesome as Alex, she had so many layers. I felt bad how hard she tried to win Nick over and he used to call her 'hey lady!' lol. Roger was the best villain ever! He wanted love and tried to be a good guy but that bad guy in him kept taking over.

Love to see Maureen talking to her friends. Poor Nick. He tried so hard. So nice to see the whole episode, complete with credits. Alex really must be desperate if she thinks Whackadoodle Eve is a better choice for wife of Nick.

Beverlee McKinsey was delicious as Alexandra Spaulding, her acting ability and the way she would use her voice from softspoken to deep velvety persuasion. No other could match her. She will be sorely missed. When she left the show she knew that Guiding Light was but a fading light,she left at the top. Bravo.....

GL has destroyed Alexandra over the years. I like Marj Dusay but I think she would have made a better Miss Sally than Alex. She lacks Beverlee's cool calm demeanor while shooting the daggers. Marj plays it way too flustered and over the top. Does anyone have any fear or intimidation for Alex today? Nope ..they walk all over her.

Beverlee was great but you have to remember redb12 that Marj was great when they first recasted her back in 93! They wrote her very fierce and delicious between 93 and at least 95. GL has had a million writers since then so n wonder nothing is the same.

Beverlee's hair was ROCKIN back then. I remember really worshipping her during this time period. Today, she is still one of my ALL-time favorite actresses and characters. Sorry, Marj...Beverlee's got it all over you. Then again, they don't write the current Alex in this delicious, strong and realistic manner!

Wow, I was only 5 when this came out but I remember the opening so well... and thanks to my mom, I've been watching this soap since 1997. It's so neat to see past episodes with characters that are still on or were on not that long ago- especially for me! :)
