The design of the new BMW X3 combines the typical BMW X character with a dynamically stretched silhouette. The new BMW X3 offers a choice of two power units. The four-cylinder diesel featured in the new BMW X3 xDrive20d develops a maximum power output of 135 kW/184 bhp, exceeding that of its predecessor by 5 kW. At the same time, average fuel consumption in the EU test cycle has dropped by 14 percent to 5.6 litres/100 km. The new BMW X3 xDrive35i is powered by a 225 kW/306 bhp straight six-cylinder petrol engine.

WOW, some really snitty comments! Everyone has opinions about their vehicles. I've always admired BMW engineering though I've never owned one [mopar guy]. This is the first one I'd actually consider buying. Overall BMW owners are not any better/worse than the rest of us...they just have more cash to blow on their car. I would have to say though in my experiences Prius owners act a bit "special" but I am sure some are normal too.

@oldirtybastard213 Actually I have - driven both…how about you? I have driven both and chose the X3 - it should get here in 2 - 3 weeks. Not sure why you seem to be taking things so personally. I think the Q5 is a great crossover…it just came in a distant second for me compared to my wants in a vehicle, but I'm sure others will prefer the Q5 and more power to them if they do. I test drove the 3.2 btw, not the new 2.0t.
