  • Hi there everyone, I've been saving money to get this awsome synth, but I came across with the Korf X50, so, I just want to know if anyone know the differences between the X50 and Micro X, I think they share a lot of things, but I want to make sure that I'm gettin my money worth, I will really appreciate your help :D

  • @Goatchrist666 I understand that the sample libraries in the MicroX and X50 are similar but not identical. I have also read that the MicroX patches have more of a slant toward dance/trance and world music, but do not know this from personal experience.

  • ok ive watched all of your demos on this and this thing is amazing. one question, how do you actually use it? i mean i know it come with factory sounds but what do you hook up to it to hear it and all of that? thnx and great job!

  • @CSTNgeek I make recordings using Digital Performer software on my Mac. I use Event studio monitors to hear it. If you want to play it in a band or with other musicians, I would suggest a larger keyboard and a couple of powered PA speakers.

  • Hey dude, Thank you for these, it's awesome how much work you've put in here!

Does the Micro X do a solid Hammond into a Leslie organ tone? I'm looking to work organ sounds into my recording and i really can't break the bank right now.

If not would you recommend the micro X for post-processing in an organ simulator on my computer?

  • @jumpshipdrown Look, all of these things are terribly subjective. There are lots of organ sounds in the Micro X, and one person's fave is another person's disaster. Me, I'd give them overall "B", not the best I've heard, but certainly not the worst.

  • Thanks for the demostrations and your amazing keyskills

your videos got me over the line: i bought last week this synth thanks to you.

i will not regret it as i do miss my old M1 and X5DR , now i have the korg sound back in the studio.

  • @keybdwizrd Thanks very much for the reply, I'm looking to buy one locally for about $350 Australian, and taking into account your opinion I'll probably be taking it me thinks. Might have to get a proper organ later down the track, but this should do nicely for home recording!

  • @keybdwizrd Yeah, i noticed its a discontinued instrument (sadly). Is there another synth with nice vintage sounds like this (MicroKorg X) out there that i can buy (not discontinued) And for a nice price?

  • @mortifago Thanks. There are plenty of vintage synth sounds in the Micro X but not sure about mellotrons. In any case, I believe Korg has discontinued these so you may have to poke around the net or try ebay.
