Tracey Truby, of Independence, KY, speaks about her traumatic brain injury and treatment at the UC Health University Hospital Research Week kickoff May 23.
Truby, who was injured in May 2010 when a deer jumped onto her car, was enrolled in the ProTECT III trial at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. The study examines whether progesterone, delivered intravenously, can lower deaths and improve outcomes after a brain injury.
