To your other question, "What has happened to music?" The answer is: Technology has replaced talent. Marlena Shaw is superior to EVERY singer currently on the Billboard charts. Nobody can touch her. But what's hot now are people whose most valuable talent is reciting poetry quickly. That's not easy but it's hardly musical, especially considering that most of the music integrated in their recordings are samples of greater talents from years past, such as James Brown, Sly Stone, and Marlena Shaw.
