There's nothing like a full frame camera and a Nikon 24-70. I shot my first set of images with my used D700 at a basketball game and compared to the D300 I use, nothing beats it. The tones are crazy amazing and the depth (feel of the image not DOF) is great. Granted, you do need to do slight RAW processing to get the best image.

Bro, can i use a 18-70mm 3.5-4.5 type lens (i mean kind of cheap lens) on a d700 ?

@tiestosoul dx lens are no good on fx cameras like the d700 except in dx mode which is only 5 mega pixels on the d700

I disagree with a few things you said, first third party lenses can give you exceptional quality! Also one of the main advantages is of a full frame camera is the image quality, even though both have the same megapixels the pixels them selfs are going to be much cleaner and crisper with the FX sensor. Please do a little more research next time before you start trying to teach people.

@AmazingMrguy if you can afford a full frame camera you should get good lenses, if not then go for a cheaper camera and spend your money on good glass. tokina is the only lens i would trust. I dont know where you get the idea that I disagree with image quality being better on full frame. All i say is low isos dont show a big difference between the two and that is the truth. full frame all the way for higher iso value where image quality is far superior.

Thanks for the video, good stuff. I'm dead broke right now, and I'm getting by with a Nikon d80. After watching this video, I'm thinking of saving up for the d300. I primarily shoot surfing, and on top of saving for the d300, I'm also saving for a water housing (about 1500 frickin dollars). With surf photography, you can't really go far with out the housing. Do you recommend saving up for the d300? Would it make a much better difference than the d80?

@saltyglass if you think you need the speed of the d300 then yes it is worth it. the d300 can shoot alot faster than the d80.
