can't decide whether this was just or not because it doesn't show what happened before he was in cuffs. He must have done something to prompt the officers to use excessive force. This is not a crime that involves race...notice the officers are black.

The police officers job is to arrest, jail and provide safety. The judge has the job to hand out the sentence.

However, most people have not had to fight to subdue another person. It is far harder to *contain* a person who is trying to fight than you might think. IHave you ever tried to get a pair of handcuffs on someone who doesn't want them on? Without hurting the person or yourself whilst trying to make sure they don't escape? Most teenage boys are pretty big with the advantage of testosterone and elevated fitness levels. They're no wimps.

it doesn't show what happened before the boy was in cuffs. I don't think it was necessary for them to be holding his arms up the way they were when he was on the ground and they could have put him into the recovery position as he wasn't struggling. That doesn't seem right.

young buck cops, tough guys, cowboys,looking for & eager to display physical prowess in a confrontation, words that shouldn't be used to describe police officers; rather discipline, integrity, law upholding. i saw none of that in this video. these sad excuses for officers should be ashamed. the family did the right thing, because a judge can take the video from them or put a gag order against them to keep from going to the media. the police chief has okayed this kind of behavior, they're cops.
