Martin Ellis stopped by the Masonic Temple in Fort Wayne, IN, and let us listen in while he tried out the organ, Estey #2525. The organ had been silent for over 30 years, and is now playing again on "life-support."
Martin plays the first movement of one of the best-loved organ works of J.S. Bach, the Concerto in A minor, BWV 593.
The organ is one of the few remaining Estey "luminous" organs in existence. It's sound in the Great Hall of the Masonic Temple is truly impressive!
@wwpond Right now, we are trying to raise the money to restore the organ. Many of the parts are in really delicate shape. Until these parts are renewed, the organ cannot be used heavily because parts will start to fail. Once it has been restored, it will hopefully be used very frequently, and played by many musicians!

Phenomenol asset to our community--so spread the word. Would be nice to hear organ music ringing through the hall. Are any efforts underway to encourage masonic or family member organists to use the organ, even for practice or miniconcerts? Every note played builds interest. Thanks for posting this on You Tube.
