It would seem that the trailing edge might be recessed. The did this on the p-51 mustang on the tail. It was cut off I have a 2003 ford ranger I hope to play with.

@Bikefenatic You are correct // one on the roof helps // about 13/4 mpg better well that's what mine gets me// i have costume racks 3/4 length of bed sloped // i build-ed // my racks are dead level to roof top with a spoiler
I call them my BEER RACKS SO WHEN I GO TO PART PEOPLE DON'T RAID MY COOLER //LOLOLOL the spoiler also doesn't let // things blow out of the bed // they also make tail gate spoilers to help back draft

it may look silly, but perhaps if you added some sort of lip at the end to divert air over the top, so it's not so stagnant. Like a smaller version of the old style NASCAR just angeled outward rather than straight up. Just a thought.

thats a lot of savings!

how did you make yoru shell

What if i just enclosed the loading space and added a small wing on the roof? No big thing, i'm thinkin about something the size of an BMW e39 M5 lip. Other than that, nice cover, but the two last ones are way too wild lol

That's impressive!
Cool cover, but flow illustrator isn't very accurate, they say that right on the page. Did you ever measure the mileage in real life to see if it helped?

@sjh7132
the shell on it's own gives me an average of 5-10% better mileage, coupled with ecodriving and other techniques i get an improvement of about 32% compared to the manufacturer's given mileage.
