Garlen: "So, Janga has been defeated. I guess he's not just some kid after all. Even so, the Nightmare Mist has already been completed. All there is left is to bring about the Darkness of Nahat. Won't you join me, Lolo-kun? I'm a reasonable man. If you help me out, I promise that Klonoa and the others will be left unharmed."
Lolo: "Klonoa won't lose to you! I'll never help you!"
Garlen: "Think of it this way: you're still young. Think about the talents you have! JOIN ME!"
Garlen: "With the prayers of a priestess like you, all the nightmares in the world can join and become one! With that power, you can bring forth the Darkness of Nahat! Then, nobody will ever have to face their nightmares again--they'll be free! And Klonoa and the others will be spared, too! You alone have the power to ensure that nobody has to suffer!"
Lolo: "I understand... I'll help you. But, in
return... in return, you have to PROMISE you won't hurt anyone!"
Garlen: "Of course. I am a man of honor. You have my word."
Lolo: "Klonoa-san..."
Garlen: "Heheheh. Yes. Good... Oh, yes, I did forget to mention one thing. When I said I wouldn't hurt anyone, that did come with the condition that nobody were to attempt to defy me."
Garlen: "Of course, you're included in that promise, too, Lolo-kun. Not that you can hear me, right now. Now, for the Darkness of Nahat! The Star Medal will be mine! Then, the world will see me for the hero I am! They shall worship me forever!"
