@chipwaver Even more impressive. Check out Contiki for C64. Perhaps not faster boot time. But WAY more limited rescources. That's impressive!

YES, Windows has got to load tons of services,
where the old Mac OS was minimalistic (=good)
The old Mac was programmed at the limits of the art of programming back in the days these Guys were able to do MAGIC with so little resources!
Today Services n Programs are made with Authoring-Software, they are not programmed they are put together by DRAG N DROP... that is why today's software is more
bloated with program-code, takes more time to load, more space on the hdd.
