    Folks :)

    YES, Windows has got to load tons of services,

    where the old Mac OS was minimalistic (=good)

    The old Mac was programmed at the limits of the art of programming back in the days these Guys were able to do MAGIC with so little resources!

    Today Services n Programs are made with Authoring-Software, they are not programmed they are put together by DRAG N DROP... that is why today's software is more

    bloated with program-code, takes more time to load, more space on the hdd.

    Even more impressive. Check out Contiki for C64. Perhaps not faster boot time. But WAY more limited rescources. That's impressive!
