i feel the same way myself i'm hearing impaired and want to be normal like other people but disability dosen't stand in my way but many people have differnt situation you are not alone either my girlfriend dosen't care about my impairment at all becasue she love me for who i am my mom always says never give up be proud of what you have because God made you to be somebody in life and be yourself

having hearing aids sucks,(had them since 4) make me self conscious, at least girls have advantage of hiding their's. can't wait to get out of college and get a job and buy those lyrics which are completely invisible just really damn expensive.

I'm 14 years old and have noticed that my heating has gone down a little bit but I haven't thought much of it but now I'm finding that I'm saying what a lot and can't always hear my teachers but I'm kinda embarrassed to tell my mom or dad or someone because I don't know what anyone will say... Should I tell someone because I'm pretty sure they would say I need hearing aids or will it get better?????

I'm wearing hearing aid. I study regular school, so when we had a game whisper to people. I was like... It's really hard and i want to tell my teacher that I don't want to be participate this game. My friends knows and understand my weakness points. The other group were like hating me and trying to fool at me. I was kind of upset. :(

Actually I'm not afraid to cover my ears. I used to tie my hair up. :)

@darkwyvern2 my friends used to joke about my hearing aids too, but we all cracked on each other so it was cool, a lot of times my hearing aids would fall out on the field while playing football and they make that whistling noise they would be like " yep he's communicating with the aliens again" haha
