Steam Loco A4 Sir Nigel Gresley 60007 heading the Coronation Train York to Edinburgh near Darlington

16th May 2009 14:42: The Sir Nigel Gresley is seen here heading the Coronation towards Darlington guess 70mph, on time, on the run from York to Edinburgh on the 2nd leg of the 2009 Coronation Steam Dreams tour. Taken on the ECML south of A66 at Darlington from BEHIND the railway fence, unlike the bloke in white who climbed over the gate telling me it was a public footpath on the OS map, which it clearly isnt. This is the same location as my Tornado video but this time I had my tripod and it was not freezing!

There were 3 teenages with hunting/shooting gear using the railway line as a shortcut just before that bloke climbed over the fence saying "if they can do it I can do it", whist myself and some other photographers stayed behind the fence. The Tornado video with a bloke in the same spot is one of mine too.

that spot where that guy is trespassing theres a video of tornado going past the exact same spot and another guy is in the same spot as that guy trespassing but closer to the line, something really needs to be done about these people all it does is en danger steam on the mainline, maybe network rail should start getting happy with taking people to court caught trespassing if people start getting caught maybe itle stop

Nice video. It was delayed slightly by the time it got to Durham. So were the following NXEC trains. Not surprising if when people start trespassing next to the line. Grr.
