Port-au-Prince Before and After

Satellite pictures of Haiti before and after the quake show the alarming devastation its capital, Port-au-Prince, is in. Google Earth has the images on its crisis response webpage. Sandra Hughes reports.

I was in Haiti in 1999 with the Army. We provided security for humanitarian assistance missions. At that time some 65% of the population had T.B. or AIDS. They didn't know how to except help then, and I doubt they can now. The Haitian part of that island has been corrupted by greedy men beyond repair. There is a tide field outside port au prince that they call the killing fields. It was littered with human remains in 1999. I believe the earth has spoken. Wipe it clean and start over.
