One of the better videos on this amp. Setup & recorded right. Very nice. Thank-you.

Love your playing and the tone that u atw getting. Do these amps have effects loops?

@novanine9 Definitely not. Haha. Some of the simplest amps in the world, just input, volume, bass, treble.

@rainerclouds - Thanks for the reply. I'm trying to decide on either a vintage champ or the Blackstar ht-5 combo. I can only get one to augment my recordings and double as an amp for coffee shop gigs. I've got NI Guitar rig 4, but like that real mic'd sound for recording. Does the champ flub up the bass response if you stick a distortion pedal in front of it? I love the tone, but how is the punch of it, even on clean settings?
Can I spank my tele with it?
Thanks

@novanine9 It really depends on the tone of the dirt pedal. The Blackstar definitely has more of a modern gain structure, while the breakup of the Champ is pretty characteristically... Champ-like, for lack of a better term. There's not much bass in the box, and it'll probably get flubby as you crank the gain, but it plays well with tamer overdrive pedals. It's definitely a loud little box, though, so, as always, try it and see what you think. :) I'm sure it has quite a lot of spank.

@novanine9 Also, I was playing this clip with a boost pedal in front of the amp, which really takes the gain to the next level. It really sounds like an amp being pushed hard, rather than the smooth, compressed modern gain you'd get from the Blackstar.
