I thought the new Speed Racer X had lots of potential. It'll never be equal to the old classic, but it was exciting to have new stories, and solid animation. It's a shame it was cancelled because of property disputes.

Here's the translation:

Never heard of this? I grew up with this. its known as speed racer Y2K.This is how i know speed racer. This and the original. Watched the same as this as i ddi of the original.

This version is so upbeat, but keeps most of the original intact. I daresay this one is just as catchy, if not a bit more. And the animation quality cannot be argued. If this used the designs of the original, it may have gone very far. Of course, the charm and impracticality of the original can't be repliated, nor can Peter Fernandez's voice.
