I defy anybody to not feel a string of emotion when watching this scene, videogaming at its best, truly brilliant.

I'm not gonna lie: I cried so hard after this I totally forgot to feel scared. This is the great, great thing about Japanese storytelling in general: When done right, it understands that what REALLY freaks people out isn't dim lighting or dudes in masks or buckets of blood. It's seeing human weakness and regret being exposed, manifested and finally punished.
