  • your knife looks to me are very dull, time to sharp it dude, nice vid cheers

  • @mnobeyed When you're rock-chopping in that kind of circular motion do you keep the knife at 90° to your chopping board? For me it doesn't work, the knife doesn't move left, I just stay in the same place of the veg. Thanks

  • he's wasting so much food! in the TRASH?!? pretty damn wasteful

  • You can stack once you get to be super pro.lol @5:55

  • @underpedz818 Thats fine, I understand. But my experiance, especially with newer cooks, in resturants, is that they hav'nt cut dozens or hundreds of onions before, and keeping the root on the onion keeps it from bleeding as much, and makes it easier for the cook to cut the product. Plus one does'nt want a bilogical contaminant of teas, or saliva in the onion...

  • @underpedz818 I understand there are more than 1 way to skin a cat, but my professors(Who are CIA grads) Agreed with me, and on top of that, along with less bleeding, it helps you to remember to toss the root end out in the trash, rather than with the stock...

  • @underpedz818 No I'm not trying to tell an experianced, or non experianced cook or chef how to cut onions, this gentleman in the video has wonderful knife skills. Better than mine, but I learned some "Tricks" on how to get better. I have several friends from both CIA and from Johnson and Wales. Who all show me the same techniques. This does'nt mean I am the greatest, and I don't want to be. I just wanted to pont out that fact.

  • @underpedz818 There really is no reason to act childish. I appologize if it seemed like I was being rude. On top of that. I have onl been cutting onions for about 3 years, and the fumes kinda don't affect me anymore, it comes with practice, and many many onions, lol. I was explaining to poeple who ar'nt very experianced, that there are more ways to do this. Please don't swear at me. I really don't appreciate it.
