V1 and V2 terror on Antwerp City (1944-45)
Important note:
From the video we learn that the main part of the rockets fell on the populated residential areas of the city, killing thousands of citizens. The number of rockets that hit the target: the port, was merely negligible, as well as the damage they caused to it.
A complete information ban by the allied military forces (under American and British command) about the bombings, could implicate that those were not unhappy with the inaccuracy of the missiles. It resulted in a big drama, for the local population.
There are always more sides to one truth.
@Vg2Iron There are videos with that but I can't remember the name of the video on YT. But like I said. It's like a needle coming down and the explosion isn't any bigger then that of V1 rocket

@SMGJohn Yes, but i would like a direct video of the destruction occuring activly and not devestated pictures from after the collision >.<, but i guess as close as u can get are the test fireing of the V rockets, mostly selfdestruction on the launchpads. I guess its too hard too get the intel in hand due too confiscation and destroying during the war.

@Vg2Iron It looks like a needle coming down from the sky and a massive explosion afterwards.

@nabro1046 You can't shoot down a V2 coming down. It's so fast you barely get to see it

I arrived in Antwerp in January 44. I was surprised that so many V1s and V2s were falling on the city. Reminded me of the London blitz where I had been a messenger boy before joning the Army. We were stationed at Nightingale Park in a block of flats. My room was quite high up and one night I heard a VI approaching and it passed under my window and exploded a few hundred yards into the park. The city was dominated by a skyscraper which had a large hole in the side caused by a V1 I was told.

Is there any video showing the effect of the V2 rocket from the top of sky and down so you can see a whole zone instead of just seperate street pictures?

See link for the Antwerp X team during WW II. My (now deceased) father was a member of the 601st AAA Gun Battalion and personally knocked down 2 V1s defending Antwerp. Unfortunately, there was no V-2 defense.

Never seen this footage. An uncle of me was involved in the removal of victims from the cinema which was destroyed...
