  • i love this video, but i gotta say..that frame looks like a death trap. (or at the least...more work than its worth). When you drop a 350 hp motor in there and she start rattling...i got a feeling everything is gonna come appart. best of luck to you

  • @velvethammer26 You must be young.. Don't recognize the classic frame lines, boxed and extended. That's okay, she ain't kilt me yet, and I've been drivin' it hard for a couple years now. Good luck with yours..

  • Must be great having electricity in your work area... It's a night mare when all you got is a 1 car garage with no power! No worries those, I got extention cords. Great series of videos.

  • Thanks.. Yea, the garage is awesome.. Am savings towards building another, for more space..

  • Hey, Patrick again. I have been watching a lot of your videos Richard, and I thank you for your responses to me. You are truly one of a kind. I don't know if my brother and I will have the 41 chevy ready for nationals in Louisville, low on funds. But I still hope to see you there. Take care

  • Not likely I'll make it this year, but who knows, maybe next... Still havin' fun though, and like you, I can only do as much as time and money allows. Still good though..

  • @copperkrone the majority of the frame load is carried by the upper and lower surfaces

  • @copperkrone

the side of a frame is stressed about as far from the edge as the frame is wide.

the middle of the frame sides have almost no vertical stress on them but they need to be stable side to side.

putting holes in the frame is just for looks. Your actually putting more metal into the frame holing it and tubing the holes than if you just left it plain.

  • @baggyaxewound Yep.. Dead as a door knob. Love that death trap.. hahahahaha..

  • The frame needs lots of rework! The front tube needs to go all the way through to the outsides of the frame . The spring perch needs to be gusseted also. You will need more cross bracing or ad an X member to stiffen the frame!

  • That's the only difference between you &

me, I don't mind welding overhead, infact overheads are among my best welds. But the main thing is gettin'-er-done!!!!
