  • Hi,

Typically the procedure is done twice a year. Juvederm lasts a bit longer than Restylane.

  • Hi Dr,

How much does it cost to have this procedure? to slightly plump lips...and is it suitabe for younger people (early 20's)..are there any sideeffects?

    Thankyou

  • HI,

The cost depends on the substance and the amount. If you need it only in the upper or lower lips then a 0.4cc syringe of restylane which costs $350 should be enough. If you need both lips injected (which most people do) then one syringe of Restylane or Juvederm should be enough (which costs $600). Some people require more than one syringe and the cost increases accordingly. These prices are going to vary from doctor to doctor and region to region.

  • You have to take time with the lips to contour them and not just fill them like a sausage link! However, you want to keep the number of injections to a minimum so not to create too much trauma, swelling and bruising. Your surgeon should massage it for you in the office before you leave so you have no lumps.

  • I've actually had my lips injected with Restylane, fabulous results!!! However, I caution anyone who is considering getting their lips injected: MAKE SURE YOU SCREEN YOUR DOCTOR AND KNOW THAT HE IS QUALIFIED TO DO THE PROCEDURE!!!!!!!!!!

  • How often does the patient need to come in to maintain the look?

  • He seems like a really good and nice doctor.

  • a dr. in sacramento has been doing my top lip for me for 250.00 for 2 yrs (restslyn). The time I saw him for the procedure in was very sloppy and rough with my lips and told me to massage them myself and left the room. This came from no where but he really was never real courtious anyways. He was more rush you in rush you out no concern for the patient. Rushing around alot.
