Where exactly does it say in the bible the earth is 6,000 years old? I always bring that up to Christians and they claim it doesn't say that? Any fellow atheists know?

@Severe777 it's based on the age at death of all biblical figures in relation to each other plus 2000 years til today.

Atheists taking things out of context as usual (this documentary about "Time" was awesome BTW). Both crazy Christians and crazy atheists are just that...crazy. Their concrete minds can only fathom 2 things, existence and non-existence, in only what they see fit.

- the bible is a 2000 year old book! It is COMPLETELY irrelevant in today's society. For better fitted fairy tale stories read "Star Wars" or "Harry Potter". They provide very good moral values and they don't impose beliefs into you. They let you CHOOSE!

@kevindar301 he is not the only one that believes that extra terrestrial life is out there. Actually, the U.S. army has military strategies planned out in case of an alien invasion. It's a serious concern believe it or not. We have to assume there is life out there - until we have visited every single part of the universe.

@kevindar301 eternity is time - it is a measurement of time. it cannot be outside of time. Eternal life on the other hand simply does NOT exist. It is impossible for any living form to live eternally. I personally never encountered anything that lives forever. Now Jesus as a savior, that makes no sense to me. Savior of what? did he save something or someone?
