It's a perpetual conversation generator, and a beautiful piece of craftsmanship at that. Harness the energy of the people standing around talking about it.

    Free energy!

All other "revelations" in perpetual motion and free energy have fallen short so far, so I doubt this contraption will turn out to be anything special. It is a beautiful piece of work though

Perpetual motion...LOL, the term is synonymous with scams and fraud today.

But I will give him the benefit of the doubt on that one.

Thank you, but I actually didn't spot this myself. I was annoyed at the video for not showing anything but extreme closeups of the "cool" parts of the device, lest an abundance of information might reveal where the legerdemain was; so I found another site talking about this device and someone there had read the technical specifications and saw the 40 kg pendulum.

Once the pendulum was brought to my attention, it was pretty obvious (no word on whether there's a weight involved, like in clocks).

That is actually a good explanation! genuis! just learnt that in physics this week about the speed and distance of a penulum

It's a bit sad that journalists reporting on all this crap don't know better. But perhaps truth is that those selecting a career as journalism rarely wanted to dig deep in laws of physics.

LOL - Of course the ball isn't going to lose speed, its speed is being governed by the length of the hidden (key words that they rush over: much heavier) pendulum that is supplying the energy to keep it going!

The time for the pendulum to swing back and forth is constant no matter how fast it's moving, until the speed actually drops to zero, so the only way sign of energy loss is when he allows you to look inside (he doesn't) and see that it's no longer moving quite as far as it originally was.

He began with a false premise... A circle: the weight is on top? Actually the weight is all around a circle, equally on the bottom, side, etc. That's why it sits still.

I thought he kept it hidden there because the world is not quite ready for this astounding revelation.

I can with complete confidence assure you that no one in all of history has ever built a motor that is driven by a permanent magnet. Nor is it physically possible. So your point is entirely moot. I have good magnets that have been used 35 years and do not appear any weaker. You will never get a permanent magnet to drive a motor for 1 minute, much less 35 years. Please come up with a better answer--it is really quite simple.
