@leaftechno galician and portuguese were the same language until de 14th century when Galicia became isolated from Portugal and galician evolved like a different language very influenced by the spanish. so it's tru that gramtically galician is closer to portuguese than to spanish, but it actually sounds more like to spanish than like to portuguese. We call it galicianish or something lol.
