2 vehicle accident at 11:15am sent one person to hospital and the man driving the half ton was treated at the scene. One of the vehicles went through the stop sign t boning the truck where it landed on its side at the corners of Murphy Ave & Flemming Street in Sunny Brae area of Moncton. Codiac RCMP had the road closed for almost a hour while Paramedics and Firefighters looked after the injured. Ambulance took awhile to get there because it got held up at a railway crossing on Elmwood Drive. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and road conditions were dry at the time of the accident. Video aired on CTV news with Bruce Frisko.

  • That was my husband in that truck. We had no idea it was on video. No wonder he is cursing little black cars. He only had the truck just three weeks. He likes the new one it was replaced with though and we're both very grateful that he's okay. It was pretty scary. The fella that hit him never even slowed down.

  • Yes, it does seem reasonable....want to play the part of a big city with an antiquated subway on the main street...plus the main line actually runs north of the city and has to dip to run into Moncton. Train station should be located at the airport with the bus terminal...transportation hub......

  • I wonder how many more times an Emergency Vehicle has been tied up because of the railway crossing in Moncton? The City of Moncton should request CN and the Federal Government to reroute the line outside the city.
